Construction
The mattress is made up of nine layers.
- Cover– The mattress cover is a trademarked plant based Tencel fabric. This fabric is super soft and designed to provide optimal body temperature regulation. This fabric is quilted with organic GOTS-certified wool to wick away any moisture. The cover is a tufted cover that gives the mattress its extra plush and premium feel.
- Comfort Layer– The comfort layer of the mattress has a 4-part structure to it. First is a natural poly silk fiber layer that provides a super plush feel. Below this is a polyurethane Biofoam memory foam layer. This layer is 2 inches thick and infused with a cooling gel to keep the mattress temperature cool. It is a highly adaptive and slow-moving foam that allows the mattress to take on your body contours without restricting your movements. Next comes the coil structure layer. This is made up of 1772 responsive micro-coils that work together to give good support and loft to the mattress.
- Support Layer– The support layer of the mattress is responsible for its durability and resilience. It features a reinforced coil perimeter structure of 975 pocketed coils. This reinforces the edges of the mattress. This layer is 8-inches in height. At the bottom there is a high-density foam layer and the GOTS certified cotton base to prevent slippage.
Comfort/Firmness Level
The Oceano mattress is a medium firm mattress and ranks a good 6.5 out of 10 in the firmness range. The mattress has a solid construction that allows for good support even when it is easy to sink into it, especially for a heavy-weight person.
Motion Transfer
The pocketed coil system reduces motion transfer as each of the coils work independently. The foam layers work to further isolate motion.

Company Policy
Sleep Trial
Brentwood Home offers a 365-night sleep trial on its Oceano mattress. This means that you can try out the mattress for a whole year before having to commit to its purchase. The trial period starts when the mattress is delivered to you. The company asks you to try the mattress for at least 30 nights or a month before deciding that it does not work out for you. To return the mattress within this 365-night trial period, contact their customer care team to initiate the return.
Warranty
The Oceano mattress comes with a 25 year manufacturer’s warranty. The warranty is limited and prorated to cover all manufacturing and material defects in the first 10 years. Brentwood Homes will replace or repair the mattress in this period and you will only have to bear the shipping costs. From the 11th year onwards the customer pays 50% of the mattress’s original purchase price as the replacement or the repair cost under warranty. This cost is increased by a subsequent 5% every year. Between 21 to 25 years the buyer needs to pay 95% of the original mattress cost.
Shipping
The shipping time is between 7 to 10 days after the order is completed. The shipping included within the continental US.
Packaging and Delivery
The mattress is decompressed, rolled, and wrapped with a plastic cover to avoid any water and humidity damage. Then it is put in a cardboard box for transit. It is delivered to your doorstep in a secure condition.
White-Glove Service
If you want to avoid the hassle of unpacking and placing the mattress, then you can opt for the white glove service offered by Brentwood Home for an additional $249. With white glove service the company will unpack and place the mattress. For an additional $26 they will remove your previous mattress.
