CONSTRUCTION
The mattress has a resilient 5-layer design. Each layer is:
Layers
Organic Stretch Knit Cotton and Joma Wool Cover
The cover is made of a Joma Wool and Organic cotton blend that together gives the cover surface a mesmerizing velvety touch. Wool and cotton are naturally breathable and wicking.
Natural Dunlop Latex Layer
The next layer is a 3 inch Dunlop Latex layer. The latex is an OEKO-TEX certified latex. This means that the latex has been tested by independent laboratories and found free from harmful chemical substances. Dunlop latex is made from rubber trees in a natural process similar to tapping maple syrup from maple trees. This latex is softer at the top with a denser and heavier bottom.
Transition Comfort Foam Layer
This is a one-inch layer that provides a buffer between the Dunlop layer and the firm coils below. This layer adds more softness to the mattress making it highly supple and responsive.
Reinforced Edge Support Pocketed Coils
This support layer made up of 6-inch tall individually pocketed coils. In a method called, the Caliber Edge System, firmer coils are placed along the sides and edges of the mattress.
Support Base Foam
The base is made of a dense 1 inch foam layer that supports the coils above it.
